Each Tuesday we offer a bit of knitting "triage." We'll try our hardest to get you and your project moving along so that you're on your way to a finished object. Every week, there will be a dedicated instructor available for some guided help; just drop in!

In this 2-hour class, you will learn how to cast on and how to do knit and purl stitches. It’s all you need to know so you can start making your own scarf! No knitting experience required. Supplies needed: US 7 or 8 needed, straight or circular. Yarn: 400 yards of any worsted yarn, should you decide to make a scarf. Pattern will be provided in class. Class size: 3/6.

Students will learn how to make the basic Tunisian crochet patterns of Tunisian Simple Stitch and Tunisian Knit Stitch. We will also work on consistency of our stitches. Students will leave with at least the start of two squares.

We'll be making a beautiful scarf in two color using brioche charts! Level of difficulty: advanced intermediate Pattern is provided in class. May I recommend some yarn? :) We carry Tosh DK, Malabrigo Rios, Alexandra's Crafts "Pendleton", In The Deep Hue Sea "Caspian". Any of these yarns will be perfect for this scarf. Spinning is all about creating a unique yarn! Students will learn about fiber, how to spin it on a on the spindle of your choice, and how to ply the spun singles. Supplies needed: Drop spindle (bring your own or one will be provided for you to use in class). Need 4oz of roving (preferred: Blue-faced Leicester, Polwarth, Finn) Fiber may be purchased at Blizzard Yarn and Fiber or you may supply your own.
When: Saturday, June 15th AND Saturday, July 13th
Time: 11 am - 4 pm
Instructor: Jorjan Werry
In this class, you will learn how to knit a swatch, and then how to analyze your gauge and fabric to determine the correct yarn for the pattern. Measuring your garment from your closet will help ensure the fit you want, and you will learn how to adjust the pattern to get that fit. The pattern being used is the Simple Tee from Churchmouse Yarns & Teas, which includes sewing in a set-in sleeve. The two suggested yarns are Rowan Felted Tweed and Elizabeth Lavold Silky Wool, or other DK yarn. Class size 2/6.
